The Takeaway Digital Gift App, powered by iVertical Payment Network, is a simple and secure way to send a friend, family member, or someone the enrolled consumer wants to say thank you to for any special occasion, a Perfect Gift. Gifts can be purchased in $5, $10, $15, $20, $25, $50 or $100 denominations.
Now you can send the Perfect Gift as a digital gift or by giving a physical gift card.
The Perfect Gift can be used at any participating Takeaway convenience stores and supermarkets towards general merchandise products without the need for cash.
Giving A Gift ---- As a consumer you become aware of Takeaway’s digital gift program via in-store promotions or on the Takeaway app. There is a one-time enrollment process at no cost. Once enrolled you will be able to schedule when the gift is to be delivered or any future gifts you would like to send.
Redeeming A Gift ---- When inside the store, the person receiving the gift shares the phone’s screen with the cashier, which displays a single use barcode for the amount indicated. The cashier scans the presented barcode in the POS to complete the redemption.
The gift balance is displayed to inform the consumer what is available to spend.
iVertical Payment Network charges the consumer a convenience fee of $0.50 for purchasing and sending a digital gift, regardless of the amount of the gift. The convenience fee is clearly displayed on the checkout screen before the purchasing consumer completes the transaction. If the consumer does not want to pay the convenience fee, they can exit the app.
This fee allows iVertical Payment Network to provide the consumer the convenience and simplicity to purchase digital gifts for the receiver of the gift to redeem at participating retailers.
There is no charge to the receiver of the gift for redemption. The gift is valid for a 60-day period. After this period, any unused amount is returned, at no cost, to the originator of the gift.
